The Year of the Military Family
On March 11th, the U.S. House of Representatives voted unanimously 422-0 in favor of H. Con. Res. 64, which encourages President Obama to declare 2009, the “Year of the Military Family.”
Veterans for America strongly urges the Senate to also formally recognize the sacrifice borne by the spouses, children, parents, and loved ones of our men and women in uniform. Please take a moment to send a letter to your Senators asking them to adopt a resolution calling for 2009 to be named the “Year of the Military Family.”
