Sao Sophorny

Sao Sophorny is the Finance Manager of Veterans International Cambodia, based in Phnom Penh Central Office, and is responsible for the financial management of the program.

Sophorny started with VFA in 1993 as a secretary and data entry operator. In 1998 she became the Assistant Administration and Finance Officer.

From August 1992 to September 1993 she worked as Clerk for Human Right Component and Electronic data Processing Section for the United Nations Transitional Authority. Before that she worked as a receptionist for a construction supply company.

Sophorny graduated Bachelor of Economic Science in 1992 at Institute of Economics Phnom Penh. In 1987 she completed her high school education in Phnom Penh. She recently received a certificate for successful completion of training on working with USAID from Proposal to closeout and USAID Rules and Regulations. Moreover, she successfully completed numerous training courses, including: Accounting, Management, Management women leadership and Governance and Boards Development.
