Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation (VVAF) is a more than 25-year-old organization which has long focused on development and dissemination of educational materials in the field of the causes, conduct, and consequences of war.
For 28 years, we have worked to tackle the consequences of war by advancing and supporting veterans’ benefits programs, economic development assistance for victims of war through our Joom Noon program, humanitarian efforts including rehabilitation and mine action programs in numerous war-torn countries, and advocacy programs addressing landmines, nuclear threat reduction, and other conflict related concerns. VVAF has had and continues to run a variety of programs, including in Cambodia, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere.
In 1997 VVAF’s International Campaign to Ban Landmines won the Nobel Peace Prize.
